Position: Shipping & Customer Service Specialist
Starting Date: May 2021
Hours: 25 hours per week with opportunity for up to 40 hrs per week from Sept-Dec annually
Compensation: TBD based on experience
Location: Coquitlam, BC

The Company:
Canvas Candle Company was founded in 2016 with the mission to provide our customers with beautiful, design focused products that they feel good about having in their home. Our candles are 100% soy and fragranced with phthalate free fragrance and essential oils.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will take ownership over this roll, be a self-starter and have a very strong attention to detail. They will be able to handle customer service issues without constant management direction following training. You must be alright with strong fragrances in the work environment.

Shipping:

  • Working with our sales and shipping platforms to ensure orders are printed and shipped in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain up to date records within our sales and shipping platforms
  • Work with the Production Manager to ensure inventory levels are maintained for all product stock and shipping supplies
  • Ensure high quality product is being sent to customer and report any imperfection/issues to the Production Manager
  • Monitor courier invoices to ensure billing is correct, and work to reduce shipping costs where possible

Customer Service:

At Canvas Candle Company, our customers are our most valuable asset so strong customer service is expected for this roll.

  • Point of contact for all customer concerns or issues that may arise from online and wholesale customers related to shipping and product quality/use
  • Listen to customers to gain information to assess their concerns and effectively offer solutions available to them
  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in all aspects of dealing with customer issues and concerns

Production Assistance:

  • Assisting with production including; wicking, labeling and cleaning of vessels
  • Ensure stock levels of wax and fragrance are available to the production staff
  • Ensure stock levels of shipping supplies are maintained and available for use

Assets for this Roll:

  • Knowledge of the Shopify platform
  • Knowledge of ClickShip or a similar shipping platforms

Requirements for this roll:

  • Strong experience in customer service
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 LBS
  • Self starter with a strong attention to detail
