In years past, we have celebrated Canada Day on July 1st with our annual Canada Day Sale. In light of what is happening in our country, and to honour the Indigenous lives lost, and families affected by residential schools in Canada, we are not celebrating with a sale this year.
Instead, we are donating 100% of proceeds from sales on July 1st, 2021 to the Residential School Survivors Society to support the Indigenous community.
We ask that if you have been considering making a purchase from us, you make that purchase on July 1st so we can make this donation an impactful one.
Please mark your calendar.
We will disclose the donation amount after July 1st.
There are many ways that you can continue to support the Indigenous community within Canada. Here are some resources and places to start:
- Seek and support Indigenous owned businesses within your community. This includes two of our retailers: Birch Hill Studio and Iron Dog Books
- Seek to understand the Truth & Reconciliation Report, as well as the 94 Calls to Action. Learn more HERE
- If you can, donate to funds such as Indian Residential School Survivor Society and Legacy of Hope
- Keep learning, take action, show support and participate where you can to show support. Orange Shirt Day is coming up also - Learn more HERE
Canvas Candle Company wishes to acknowledge the ancestral, traditional, and unceded Indigenous territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, and in particular, the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation, on whose territory the Tri-Cities stand.

Hello I tried to order the Patio trio and the scissors/ sniffer set. On checkout it kept telling me that the zip code did not match address. It’s a postal code nor a zip. Not sure what to do next.
